Up and Running! - Jan. 05, 2009

This is the day of the grand opening of my new office. I made a much needed change after five and a half years and am happy to welcome you to my new virtual space and hope to see you in my actual physical office located at 213 Milltown Blvd.
We are finished phase one of our renovations, but as time goes on we hope to do a bit more work to this delightful little building.
I love the history behind this place and I am sure I only know a small part of it. That is something you can not get from a new construction. The former owner was kind enough to leave me several old photographs that show the various incarnations. In the early 1900's it used to be a store. Sometime in the 1950's or thereabouts it appears to have been transformed into a garage or autobody shop. Eventually it became a customs brokerage. Now, in 2009, it is my law office. I hope to call this 'home' for many years to come.
Sitting directly across from the Ferry Point Bridge I almost feel like I am in the 'hub' of the downtown. I can always tell whether or not the bridge is lined up, just by peering out my window!
