Laura Porter

My office is located at 213 Milltown Blvd., in the former A.E. Horne & Son building, overlooking the International Ferry Point Bridge. Those of you who already know me know that I have lived in St. Stephen since 1993 and that my husband, Rob Porter, is a hometown boy who grew up here. I met him at University in Fredericton and eventually followed him back here to work and to raise our three children.

For those of you who don’t know me, I am a Rotarian (past Secretary), am on the Board of Directors of the Civic Centre Project, the Downtown Revitalization Committee and am a Peer Mentor Volunteer with the New Brunswick Law Society. I also volunteer at the S.P.C.A. on Sundays to walk and socialize the dogs. The areas of law that I am routinely involved in are Property, Wills and Estates, Corporate and Family with a smattering of Civil Litigation. I was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2004 and am a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Charlotte County Barristers’ Association.

Donna Leavitt

My legal assistant is Donna Leavitt, formerly Donna Christie. She grew up in Oak Hill and has lived in the area all of her life. She worked in a St. Andrews law office for two years for a now retired and well respected lawyer. She is smart, pleasant and understands the importance of confidentiality. When you come in to my office you can expect that what you tell me stays within this office. If at any time you speak with Donna rather than me, she is governed by the same code of ethics. We encourage former clients to stop by and check out our location and would love to welcome new clients to the fold.
